MOORE COUNTY SCHOOLS
The 22 public schools that make up the Moore County School System had an enrollment of 12,294 students for the 2007-2008 school year.  The system employs more than 1,828 individuals in full or part-time positions.  As an alternative form of public schooling, two charter schools are available.  In addition to the public school system, there are a number of private schools located throughout the county.

Sandhills Community College, the oldest comprehensive community college in North Carolina, has offered college transfer and vocation degrees since 1965.
